Veterinary
Assistant
School was originally approved by the
Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education in
California in 2003. With the passing of the new AB 48 bill in October 2009; the new
Bureau has extended that original approval for another three years. The approval covers the Veterinary Attendant, Veterinary Assistant, and the Alternate Route Veterinary Technician Candidate Programs. Additionally, the Veterinary Assistant and alternate Route Veterinary Technician Candidate Programs have been approved for distance learning. The Alternate Route Veterinary Technician Candidate Program is recognized by the
California Veterinary Medical Board
as fulfilling the educational requirements for RVT candidates applying for the state board exam through the alternate route.
The Veterinary Attendant Program is approved by
NAVTA (National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America)
as a Veterinary Assistant Program. |
