Veterinary Attendant Program
We need externship sites for this 12 week program. Students are required to do 78 hours of externship (8 hours a week) in an animal hospital or clinic. If you are interested in sponsoring a beginning level student as a volunteer at your facility, call us today! We will send you package with copies of all the paperwork you need to complete for each student. Since students are only a volunteer, the animal hospital is not liable for them if they get injured. We have a wavier drafted for you and the student to sign releasing you of liability.
Veterinary Assistant Program
Students in the Veterinary Assistant program are required to be working in a hospital to apply to this program. They must do a 188 hour externship during their class period. Occassionally, a student in this class is not able to complete their externship with their current employer. So we need animal hospitals that are willing to sponsor these students who do have some experience working in an animal hospital, to be able to complete their externship requirements. They can work either as a volunteer or just enough hours a week to complete their assignment.
Please let us know if you are willing to sponsor students at this level for their externship.
